CCMSuite is meant for quickly creating computational models of various types. This allows researchers to more readily compare the performances of multiple types of models, as opposed to specializing on one particular type of modelling.

One particular aspect of this modelling process that is often neglected is modelling the situation that the cognitive agent is in. This can be anything from a model of a rigid experimental situation to a complex naturalistic environment with multiple interacting agents. In general, we refer to this as the "Environment".
